Nonlocal Dispersive Equations

Nonlocal equations with dispersion have a long history in many applications, predominantly in the theory of water waves, nonlinear optics and quantum physics. In recent years there has been a renewed focus on these equations since considerable progress in the analytical understanding and the numerical treatment has been achieved. This session aims to provide an overview over recent developments in the application of such equations and their numerical resolution, in particular for fractional PDEs.
